✈︎ Every destination is flyable
Sunshine Atlas is an interactive weather map of 3,833 destinations, built on long-term climate data. Spin the globe above and paint every destination by Sunshine Score, warmth, cold or rainfall for any month of the year — or start from when you want to travel. Each month boils down to a single Sunshine Score, the same number behind every ranking on this site.
Every place on this map is somewhere you can actually fly. A destination only makes the atlas if it has its own airport, so every dot on the globe and every page on this site is a real, reachable trip rather than a point with good weather.
The sunniest places in the world this month are Calama (100/100), Windhoek (100) and Dakhla (100), ranked by Sunshine Score from long-term climate normals. The sunniest in Europe right now are Gran Canaria (98/100), Jerez de la Frontera (98) and Kos (98). Full rankings: the world in July · Europe in July.
The globe above is an interactive sunshine map: a climate globe that paints every destination by long-term monthly averages, not today's forecast. Pick a layer (Sunny, Warm, Cold, Rain or Snow) and a month, and the world recolours: sunshine hours by month, daytime warmth, rainfall or snowfall for 3,833 flyable places at once. Tap any dot for its full climate card with monthly sun, day and night temperatures, rain and, on the coast, sea temperature.
Unlike a live weather map or a day-and-night map, nothing here is about right now: it answers where it's reliably sunny in January, June or any month you pick, from decades of climate data.
